People + Parks = Perfect!

the partnership…

Spectrum Designs, in partnership with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation, are proud to collaborate on the launch of the New York State Parks e-commerce website.

Eleven new park illustrations and graphics are debuted in the inaugural merchandise collection and as the exclusive online merchandise partner, Spectrum Designs is wholly responsible for the operation of the retail site, including website development, product quality, order fulfillment, customer service and wholesale orders.

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation oversees more than 250 state parks, historic sites, recreation trails, golf courses, and boat launches which were visited by 78 million patrons last year. State Parks offer a variety of experiences for all ages, abilities and interests: campers, golfers, hikers, picnickers, birders, swimmers, paddlers and more.  The agency aims to provide safe and enjoyable recreational and interpretive opportunities for all New York State residents and visitors and to be responsible stewards of valuable natural, historic and cultural resources.

Spectrum Designs is a New York-based full-service custom apparel and promotional products business with a social mission: to create meaningful and inclusive employment opportunities for people on the Autism Spectrum. As a nonprofit, 100% of the proceeds go towards furthering their mission. Paid positions for part and full-time roles such as screen printers, graphic designers, and production assistants, allow these employees to produce superior products while providing unsurpassed client relations.

In addition to their goal of providing meaningful jobs to new Yorkers with disabilities, Spectrum was also chosen because of their like-minded commitment to the planet. Their 8,000 square foot facility in Westchester County is 100% powered by renewable energy. In addition, both sites utilize only eco-friendly inks and soy-based cleaners, ship apparel in compostable bags, and use boxes certified by the Sustainable Forest Initiative. They also disclose their environmental impact data to CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), joining 10,000+ other companies, states, and regions across the globe who support environmental action
